Ishikawa Organic Matcha Komakage is premium Single Estate Organic Matcha from Japan. Three generations of the Ishikawa family have farmed on their estate since 1933. They use no pesticides, no herbicides, and only use natural organic fertilizers. The Ishikawa family is the first certified for producing organic matcha in Japan.
The 2023 edition of Ishikawa Organic Matcha Komakage tastes sweet, nutty, and smooth. In contrast to most teas, organic single origin matcha is extremely rare. The process of creating Organic Matcha begins with the shade-grown tea leaves. These leaves are sheltered from direct sunlight for weeks before harvest, enhancing their chlorophyll content and resulting in that brilliant green color. After harvest, the leaves are carefully steamed, dried, and meticulously ground into a fine powder. It's this process that preserves the tea's vibrant color and its wealth of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, making it a true elixir for your well-being.
